Dr Jones qualified at St Thomas’ Hospital 1989 and completed his FRCA 1994. He has been a Consultant Anaesthetist at Broomfield and Springfield Hospitals since 2001.
Dr Jones undertakes over one thousand operative cases annually across all specialties, with particular expertise in ENT, breast, endocrine and orthopaedic surgery. Of these, apart from knee replacement surgery which is usually a 1-2 night hospital stay, anaesthesia for the majority of cases facilitates day case discharge. Dr Jones follows up all his inpatients daily for management of pain and postoperative recovery.
Dr Jones is one of the most reviewed anaesthetists in the country via the independent national patient feedback website I Want Great Care with a Certificate of Excellence for delivering outstanding patient care held since 2018.
He is married to Carrie, a recovery nurse, for 35 years with three grown up children.
Dr Jones’s outside interests include being an authorised Local Preacher and Parish Councillor. He also is a keen Bee keeper and enjoys fly fishing and walking.
